PROFILE / DAMIAN STROBEL

I build platforms that scale. And stand up to attack.

I have built Laravel systems for eight years. I architect, implement, test, deploy and scale platforms end to end. Go handles performance-critical workloads, offensive security protects data, and AI enables new products whose quality can be measured.

01 / END TO END

One technical responsibility from product goal to production.

You do not need handovers between architecture, backend, quality assurance, deployment and security. These perspectives form one continuous delivery.

  1. 01Architecture

Clarify domain, data, interfaces and load profile.

  2. 02Development

Laravel for the product, Go for performance-critical services.

  3. 03Testing

TDD, integration tests and measurable acceptance criteria.

  4. 04Deployment

Reproducible releases, monitoring and controlled rollouts.

  5. 05Scaling

Queues, caches, databases and distributed workloads.

02 / CAPABILITY SYSTEM

Three perspectives. Applied to the same product.

01LARAVEL + GO

The platform stays clear. The hot paths become fast.

Laravel is my productive foundation for complex platforms: business rules, APIs, permissions, queues and integrations remain understandable and testable. Where CPU load, concurrency or throughput require different properties, I add Go deliberately. The result is not a technology zoo, but a robust division of responsibilities.

02OFFENSIVE SECURITY

Security is built in and, when useful, attacked.

As an offensive security researcher, I know how attackers abuse roles, states, APIs and supposedly invisible data. This perspective informs architecture, code and tests from the start. For suitable projects, a separate penetration test including an assessment statement from DSecured can be part of the delivery.

03AI / LLM ENGINEERING

Model choice is tested, not guessed.

I build AI platforms, RAG systems and agents, integrate existing models and can adapt models to the specialist task. Representative test suites measure quality, source attribution, cost, latency and failure modes. Frontier models provide speed; local models protect confidential data.

03 / PRODUCT BUILDER / ENTREPRENEUR

I understand more than the code. I understand the business behind it.

NEO began as my own prototype for continuously understanding external attack surfaces. It became a market-ready EASM product. Following the asset deal with HUB Security, I led an international product team as VP of Cyber Products. That experience still shapes my work: technology must solve a real problem, be deliverable and make commercial sense.

  1. 2017First NEO prototype

Continuous discovery of external assets and real attack paths.

  2. 2019Market launch

Security research becomes a production-ready EASM.

  3. 2022Asset deal

NEO becomes part of HUB Security’s product portfolio.

  4. AfterwardsVP of Cyber Products

Technical and product leadership for an international team.

04 / PROJECT FIT

When this combination is particularly valuable.

  1. 01

A business-critical Laravel platform must move faster or scale further.

  2. 02

A new product needs architecture, delivery and operations under one owner.

  3. 03

AI must improve a real specialist workflow and be evaluated objectively.

  4. 04

Sensitive data and permissions require security expertise within development.

05 / NEXT STEP

Give me the hardest technical part of your project.

Describe the goal, current state and biggest constraint. You will receive a direct technical assessment of where I can take ownership and what a useful first step looks like.
